Event Description:

Dr. Gerald Klonglan, professor at Iowa State University, will discuss the economic and educational legacy of George Washington Carver in his presentation, "George Washington Carver's Legacy on Higher Education and Business: Black Land Grant Colleges, Iowa State University, and Private Industry."  The African American Museum is pleased to bring this program to the Fort Dodge Public Library Monday, October 15, at 7 pm. 

 

This event is a part of the African American Museum of Iowa's year-long project, "Iowa Roots, Global Impact: The Life and Legacy of George Washington Carver."  This project includes a major exhibition at the African American Museum of Iowa, traveling exhibits, programs, and more.   

 

Sponsors include the Roy J. Carver Charitable Trust, Humanities Iowa and the National Endowment for the Humanities, State Historical Society Inc., General Mills, Silos and Smokestacks National Heritage Area, and Pioneer HiBred.  Local support provided by Fort Dodge Animal Health.
