Event Description:

Fort Dodge's Ninth Annual Oakland Cemetery Walk will be held Saturday, June 11^th, with a special indoor performance on June 12^th. During the 80-minute walk/performance meet 8 historic, costumed "characters."

On Saturday, guided walks begin every 10 minutes, from 1:00 - 3:00. Cars are not allowed in the cemetery during the walk - parking and shuttles are available at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church located at 1436 21^st Ave. North.

Sunday's indoor performance will take place at the ICCC Bio-Sciences/Health Auditorium, with the presentation beginning at 3:00. Admission on either day is $7 per person with children under 10 admitted free. Proceeds are used for Oakland Cemetery preservation.

The event is sponsored by the Friends of Oakland Cemetery (for more information contact the Parks, Forestry & Recreation Dept. 576-7237).

This year's actors include CLARK ROOT, BRAD LUKE, JESSE HELLING, KEVIN ROGERS, JOHN METIER, BARBARA WALLACE HUGHES, SUSAN AHLERS LEMAN AND STEVE KERSTEN.
