Summer Art Camp "Painting, Drawing, & Looking at Nature"

Three-Day Art Camp for Young People Ages 9 to 12

Instructor: Linda Flaherty

For students ages 9 through 12

Dates: Wednesday, July 11th; Thursday, July 12th; & Friday, July 13th

Times: Class will meet 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM all three days

For young art students who love painting and drawing, this art camp is designed to help you get started with some techniques to build your painting skills. We learn some basics about different kinds of paints, get some pointers on how to create a solid design, and work our way through some steps to a finished piece. We'll be working from nature and paying attention to light and shadow in our paintings. The Blanden has paint shirts, but also please wear old clothes and shoes so you don't have to worry about possible paint drips and spills. All materials and a snack are included. Maximum enrollment, ten students.
