The eighty-four photographs were selected from the museum's permanent collection, reflecting American people and landscapes from 1893 to 1987. Portfolios by Edward Steichen and Alfred Stieglitz, Chicago images by Kenneth Heilbron, California images taken in the 1970's and Fort Dodge images taken in the 1930's are featured.
