The Friends of the Library manage and maintain a used bookstore in the Library. The Friends Bookshop on the Square provides good quality used books at greatly discounted prices. The Bookshop also sells books on tape, jigsaw puzzles and a limited number of videos.

The Bookshop accepts donations of used books. Donations should be in good condition and should not be moldy, dusty or water damaged. All proceeds from the Bookshop are used to finance Library programs and projects. Currently the Friends are providing all funding for Childrens and Young Adult programs, including the popular summer reading programs. The Friends are also providing all funds used to purchase newspapers and magazines.
