The Art Museum is a center of art and culture, not only for Fort Dodge, but for a large area of north central Iowa. Free admission gives access to items from the world-class permanent collection and current exhibitions by local as well as internationally renowned artists. A full range of classes, receptions, concerts, lectures and special events for all ages are available.
Brushy Creekis the newest addition to the State of Iowa Park System. Recently a proposal has been made to designate Brushy Creek State Park as a "Destination State Park".
The Fort Dodge Fort Museum is one of our finest stopping points. Home of the famous "Cardiff Giant" statue, and the famous "Opera House", The Fort Museum also hosts the Annual Frontier Days Celebration the first weekend in June.
Doliver State Park (pictured to the right) is one of the area's finest recreation locations along the Des Moines River basin.
