Library Board of Trustees

The board meets the fourth Monday of each month at 4:00 p.m. at the Library. Five members serve 5 year terms and are appointed by the Mayor with approval from the City Council.

Trustees set policy and provide guidance and support for the Library.

Specific Powers and Duties:
  • To have charge, control and supervision of the Public Library, its appurtenances, fixtures and rooms containing the same.
  • To direct and control all the affairs of the library.
  • To employ a librarian and authorize the librarian to employ such assistants and employees as may be necessary for the proper management of the library.
