Bulk Pick Up

Appliances

On Monday, June 1, 2020, the City of Fort Dodge launched a 12-week pilot program designed to help sanitation customers get rid of bulk items that do not fit into the garbage carts. Customers are able to schedule an appointment to have large items collected during the weeks of their regular recycling week. Citizens are asked to make the appointment by noon the regular business day prior to the desired bulk item collection date. There are a limited number of appointments per day, so scheduling early is encouraged. The program is scheduled to end on Friday, August 21, 2020. Collection alternates weekly to correspond with the recycling pick up schedule.
