Garbage

The City of Fort Dodge has a once a week garbage pick up for single and duplex family dwellings.

Garbage is to be set at the street curbside after 5 p.m. the day before collection or before 6 a.m. the day of collection.  Residences must use the container provided by the City of Fort Dodge for the basic fee. If an additional garbage container is required, residents can purchase a second container at a cost of $67.50 and increase the monthly cost of garbage collection from $14.50 to $29.00 per month.  This can be done at the Water Department,
located on the first floor of the Municipal Building, 819 1st Avenue South, Fort Dodge, Iowa.
